Another

Ever heard of Anais Nin?  I hadn’t, until this morning.  I was scrolling through some of “freshly pressed” blogs and saw something that caught my eye:

“I am an excitable person who only understands life lyrically, musically, in whom feelings are much stronger as reason. I am so thirsty for the marvelous that only the marvelous has power over me. Anything I can not transform into something marvelous, I let go. Reality doesn’t impress me. I only believe in intoxication, in ecstasy, and when ordinary life shackles me, I escape, one way or another. No more walls.”

Totally caught my eye.  I actually had seen this yesterday but didn’t really read it until today.  Intrigued, I looked her up.  You can look her up too.  I just wanted to say that I’ve never heard someone else talk about life and love in a way that takes the words out of my mouth.  It’s a pretty crazy feeling to hear another voice speak the same language in the same tone as my heart.  I don’t know.  I know her life and philosophy is kinda out there (she willingly committed incest with her dad.  Whoa there.) but I’m super fascinated by her freedom, love of life.

It’s crazy because I feel like I know freedom and the art of loving life through the crazy goodness and love of Jesus.  She’s experienced that in her own way and has arrived at her own goodness.  It just lacks… Goodness haha.  Know what I mean?  That holy (I don’t mean pious, churchy or religious) eternal satisfaction within the spirit.  But who’s to say anything about what anyone has experienced or understood.  She’s been gone for decades now.  Would love to meet her.

Man, now I feel like I sound crazy.  Hahah.  Just wanted to share with yalls.
