Misplaced

Misplaced my watch.

Misplaced my math symbol glasses.

Misplaced my planner.

Misplaced my Bible and notebook. Picked up today.

Tis a season of misplacement. I’ve searched high and low for my watch. After a while, I went back to the exact same places because there’s a crazy idea in my mind that it just might have climbed in there since I checked it last. My dresser, drawers, jacket pockets, car…

After a longer while, I checked places that just don’t make sense. Behind the printer, in my parents’ restroom, next to the spare tire…

Even though I can’t think of any other place it would be, I keep hoping hoping hoping.

Longing makes for irrational thinking and actions.

I miss my watch.
