I bought two mice – one for my work laptop and another for my personal laptop. My current ones weren’t functioning properly – think schizo-scrolling, silent buttons (that really bothers me for some reason), just plain not clicking what I wanted it to click.
Maybe it’s because of the 1oo8378 times I dropped it. Who knows?
One mouse came in yesterday. And it made me so happy. Hahaha. Yes. It made me giddy. I came home late last night and even though I knew I should be in bed so I wouldn’t die at work today, I wanted to open the package and examine it and click the buttons and scroll the wheel. So I did.
I woke up today and that happiness hadn’t subsided over the night’s slumber. I saw my mouse again and was so very pleased. Lol. And now I’m using it. So very pleased.
Am I weird? I don’t know. I think a part of it was because I didn’t purchase new ones before because I didn’t feel like I should be spending money on stuff like that. But with working more regularly, I felt like this is something I could “splurge” on. And a part of the happiness is that I was able to spend what I earned on something as trivial as a stupid mouse that would let me scroll without getting a headache, click on the right link/button and hear the clicking haha.
I’m a big proponent of “the little things in life”. The barely noticeable “minor” things that make our days, bring even the slightest smile, give us something to look forward to. This is one of them. Hahah. As stupid as it is, this is one of them.
