One of the most humbling moments of my life
was the realization
that someone I had believed
only wanted to
condemn me
judge me
hurt me
actually
only wanted
to
be heard.
By me.
The second most humbling moment
then followed
in the form of
realizing that
I had been struggling all my life
with the same thing…
wanting to be heard.
And the third most humbling moment
came
in the understanding
that I was able to give
to this person
what was needed
for healing
release
restoration
hope.
And that
in my giving,
I received.
